Ausgabe zur EMO 2019
5 Ausg.Nr._13/2019 EMO 2019 C arl Martin Welcker, Gen- eral Commissioner of EMO Hannover 2019: "We contact almost every com- pany in the world that does inter- national business and that has some connection with the manu- facture of machine tools, tools, components, software and au- tomation for industrial produc- tion,". From 16 to 21 September 2019, EMO Hannover will once again be providing a platform for innovative solutions, industrial applications and future technol- ogies in the field of metalwork- ing. "It includes the entire inter- national production technology value chain, covering everything from cut-to-length machines to cylinder saws. That's exactly what makes it so attractive," said Welcker, describing the ad- vantages of the event. The theme of EMO Hannover 2019 will be "Smart technologies driv- ing tomorrow's production!" This shifts the focus onto the devel- opment and implementation of new Industry 4.0 functions. The special IoT in Production show, for example, will be presenting a range of solutions – from individ- ual machines up to cloud-based systems. The theme will also be highlighted in a new area for in- dividual control technology, soft- ware and automation technology exhibitors. EMO Hannover – traditionally the largest innovation platform in the industry – will, however, also be showcasing the latest devel- opments in the full range of met- alworking machining processes, from additive manufacturing through to metal cutting. "Be- yond networking and software- controlled production processes, the industry is still very much about metalworking hardware; workpieces still have to be pro- cessed in the conventional way to create an end product. EMO Hannover will also be showcas- ing the full spectrum of equip- ment," explained Welcker. It is aimed at international custom- ers from the entire metalworking and processing industry such as the automotive and parts supply, mechanical and plant engineer- ing, electrical and aerospace in- dustries, plus fields such as med- ical technology and many others. Hanover will be the hotspot for all of these in September 2019. In addition to the wide range of exhibitors, EMO Hannover also offers a wealth of special events, forums and conferences staged by the EMO organiser VDW (Verein Deutscher Werkzeug- maschinenfabriken - German Machine Tool Builders' Associa- tion), its business partners and numerous exhibitors. At the last EMO Hannover, the online calen- dar featured over 600 additional events. The overall programme makes EMO Hannover an impor- tant networking and knowledge transfer get-together for pro- duction experts from all over the world. "We’re delighted to be hosting the world's largest trade fair for production technology in Sep- tember 2019. We’re expecting an- other mega-event that will boost business and that the industry will be talking about for a long time to come," concluded EMO General Commissioner Welcker. EMO Hannover 2019 – the world’s premier trade fair for the metalworking sector Under the motto of “Smart tech- nologies driving tomorrow’s pro- duction!”, the world’s premier trade fair for the metalworking industry will be showcasing the entire bandwidth of modern-day metalworking technology, which is the heart of every industrial production process. The fair will be presenting the latest ma- chines, plus efficient technical solutions, product-supportive services, sustainability in the production process, and much, much more. The principal focus of the EMO Hannover is on met- al-cutting and forming machine tools, production systems, high- precision tools, automated ma- terial flows, computer technol- ogy, industrial electronics and accessories. The trade visitors to the EMO Hannover come from all major sectors of industry, such as machinery and plant manu- facturers, the automotive indus- try and its component suppliers, the aerospace sector, precision mechanics and optics, shipbuild- ing, medical technology, tool and die manufacture, steel and light- weight construction.
