Ausgabe zur POWTECH + PARTEC 2019

Ausg.Nr._07/2019 5 POWTECH + PARTEC 2019 09.–11.04.2019 P owder and bulk solids are on the move: POWTECH 2019, which takes place at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 9 to 11 April, has plenty to offer visitors on the subject of mechani- cal processing technology. In six exhibition halls and through pres- entations, live demonstrations, guided tours and a special show, representatives of the powder and bulk solids industry will benefit from a complete package of use- ful practical knowledge. Parallel to POWTECH, the prestigious in- ternational congress for particle technology – PARTEC – will be held on the theme “Particles for a better life”. For the first time, the event will also feature an inter- active knowledge-sharing area. At the new Networking Campus, young researchers, start-ups and developers will provide insights into the markets and technologies of the future. In April, POWTECH, the leading international trade fair for pow- der and bulk solids, will bring together 823 exhibitors from 35 countries at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg to showcase their new products and best practices. In six exhibition halls, trade visitors from the bulk solids community will get to see machines live in action and can then discuss their development directly at the exhib- itors’ stands. Whether designed for mixing, size reduction, ag- glomerating or separating, these systems and machines are crucial to the production processes of a great many sectors. “As far as the current mega- trends in the industry are con- cerned, like additive manufac- turing or energy storage, for example, mechanical processing technology is an absolutely indis- pensable element,” says Beate Fischer, Director of POWTECH. “And it is precisely these applica- tion scenarios that POWTECH will be looking at.” Other trending topics include continuous manu- facturing, modular plant design and naturally, the digitisation of production processes. Be part of the conversation, establish contacts and enhance your knowledge The Networking Campus think tank, which opens its doors as a com- munication hub for the first time and offers start-ups, major play- ers, industry representatives and researchers the opportunity to dis- cuss the technologies and markets of the future, is sure to be a genu- ine visitor drawcard. At its heart is an open presentation stage, where participants can contribute to an in- teractive programme. In a nutshell: join in and brainstorm instead of just listening. Short presentations, workshops and research poster sessions are all designed to focus on the future of modern bulk solid and particle technology. PARTEC Congress with high-calibre keynote speakers A s one of the world's lead- ing congresses for particle technology, PARTEC gathers the professional community in Nuremberg every three years. “Our congress theme ‘Particles for a better life’ underscores this key role played by particle re- search,” says Professor Stefan Heinrich, Chairman of PARTEC 2019. “In 2019, alongside tradi- tional fields of application, we will also be focusing strongly on cutting-edge technologies e.g. from the life sciences, energy and environmental technology or ad- ditive manufacturing, and will ex- plore how particle technology can help drive these applications.” Six high-calibre speakers are set to provide inspiration at PARTEC with the latest findings from their disciplines. The speakers cover a wide range of topics and touch on areas of application like additive manufacturing or CO2 reduction. Congress delegates can look for- ward to speakers from the USA, UK, Australia and Germany, for example.  Text & Image: NürnbergMesse GmbH Messezentrum D-90471 Nürnberg POWTECH 2019: Many sectors on themove PARTEC 2019: Particles for a better life
